Recording Thread Priority

Easy Screen Capture Video's recording thread priority feature when recording CPU intensive simulations allows you to set the recording priority to a higher level. Some programs, when set as the active window, use the system resources so heavily that they may cause Easy Screen Capture Video to slow down. On these occassions it is possible for the frame rate to drop as low as 5 frames per second. Examples of this would be CPU intensive simulations.

To improve the performance of Easy Screen Capture Video with programs that are CPU intensive, you can set the recording priority. This means you can allocate more CPU resources to Easy Screen Capture Video by making its priority higher. By default recording thread priority is set to Normal. You can set the Recording Thread Prioity to:

  • Normal
  • Above Normal
  • Highest
  • Time Critical

You may choose the setting that works best for you. When you choose Highest or Time Critical this means you allocate more CPU resources to Easy Screen Capture Video by making its priority higher.
